It is all within us, the infinite resource of creativity and motivation is embedded deep within us. The “No mind” meditation of the famous Zen technique brings into an effortless action all the strengths and abilities that lie dormant within us.
Does it sound like a paradoxical statement to you? What has “no mind” got to do with productivity in life, especially something as mundane as writing? Well, it does sound paradoxical to many of us and it is so because from the very childhood our minds have been conditioned in such a way that we believe that a whole lot of hard work is needed for effective expression. A belief that is hard to break.
Some quick tips for mindfulness writing are:
1.Do not overthink about what you are writing. Just focus on the particular word you are writing in a particular moment
2.Your mind is the biggest critique of your work and keeps giving you different suggestions and ideas which could improve your work. Write more with your heart which appreciates what you have written.
3.Why not focus more on the fun in writing or the usefulness of writing than just the element of perfectionism on which our mind has been trained?
4.Do not believe your excuses. Let go of them and kick them out of your writing excuses
5.Treat writing as a meditation that brings an effortless smile on your face where your focus is beyond your mind. Completely unbroken.
6.Unleash your inner wisdom and presence. Find that inspiration inside you, it has always been there, just waiting to be heard. Break that old habit of living in the mind. Rather become a mindful writer. Become a Zen meditator.
